What is the best, booklight I can buy? To be here you’ve been reading and probably at night. When my wife or kids are asleep don’t like the light being on. In case of course they are not reading as well – in that case take a look in the book lights for kids.

Getting a book light helped my stay up reading without bothering anyone.

As always, before buying something ALWAYS read the manufacturer’s instructions!

Which light is good for reading books?

If you want to read in the dark, you need a good book light. But there are so many different types of lights on the market today that it can be hard to know which one is best for your needs.

A book light needs to emit the right amount of light. Most people don’t want a bright light in their face, so choose one that has an adjustable brightness setting. Some models have different settings with different levels of brightness, while others have a single brightness setting.

The best reading light is the one that works for you. You might have different tastes than I do when it comes to what makes a good reading light, but here are some things to consider:

Brightness – If you’re going to read at night or in low light conditions, you’ll want a bright light. The more lumens a light has, the brighter it will be. However, there are two types of brightness: measured brightness (lumens) and perceived brightness (brightness as perceived by your eyes). This is why it’s important to look at both numbers when shopping for a book light or any other type of lighting device. For example, if two lights have the same number of lumens but one has a higher Kelvin temperature rating than the other, they’ll appear brighter even though they’re both rated at 100-200 lumens!

Portability – If you spend most of your time reading indoors where there’s plenty of ambient light around (e.g., living room), then portability won’t be much of an issue.

In the end, the best book lights are:

  • Bright enough to use anywhere – from planes to bedrooms
  • Adjustable brightness so they can be used in any situation.
