Black Clover is my son’s favorite anime right now. His word for it is GOATed. He watches the anime, he reads the manga, and he already owns all 37 English volumes, so the obvious gift is gone. He is waiting on volume 38.
That makes Black Clover a hard show to shop for. He has figures, he has clothes, and the merch for this series is thinner than for Demon Slayer or Jujutsu Kaisen. A lot of what sells under the Black Clover name is fan-made or unrelated. One “Black Clover” brand sells golf hats. So this page is the short list worth buying, plus the things to skip.
The Short Answer
For a small gift, get the Asta Funko Pop. For a bigger one, get the Asta Nendoroid. For a fan who has the whole manga, pre-order volume 38, the final volume, which comes out in English on August 3, 2027. There is no official grimoire replica and no official English box set, so skip anything sold as one.
Black Clover Figures
Figures are where Black Clover merch is strongest. The Funko line covers most of the cast, and the prices sit in stocking range.
Check the shelf first. A fan this deep may already have Asta.
The Nendoroid is the big gift. Good Smile’s Asta comes with swappable faces and parts so he can be posed, which suits a fan who keeps figures on a desk. It costs about five Funkos, so I would only buy it for the main gift.
In between, on price, sits the Total Anime Asta from Jazwares. It is a 6.5-inch action figure with 30+ points of articulation, three faces, four hands and two swords, and it uses his Season One design.
If he already has Asta, go sideways.
Secre is a good pick for anyone who has finished the story, and the box has a chance of the chase variant. Leopold Vermillion and Julius Novachrono are cheaper ways to add a character he probably doesn’t have.
For something less common, the Youtooz Yuno is a 5-inch vinyl in a mid-spell pose with his grimoire. Yuno is Asta’s rival, so it pairs well with an Asta he already owns.
Two new Funkos, Dante and Nacht with Gimodelo, are up for pre-order. They ship in January 2027, so they work as an after-Christmas surprise. Both characters come from later arcs, so a fan in the early volumes gets a spoiler.
The Black Clover Grimoire Question
The grimoire is the Black Clover gift I would steer you away from. There is no officially licensed grimoire replica sold in the US. The books on Amazon and Etsy are fan-made: self-published notebooks with a clover on the cover, or 3D-printed props. Some of them look nice. If your kid wants a grimoire to write in and you are fine with fan-made, that is your call. Just know what you are buying. The only official “grimoire” product is a Japanese guidebook called the Perfect Grimoire, a reference book in Japanese.
The Manga and the Anime
VIZ has never released an official English box set for Black Clover. The “complete sets” listed online are bundles of single volumes put together by third-party sellers, often at a markup. If a fan is missing volumes, buy the singles.
For a fan who has all of them, the gift is the next one. Volume 38 is the final volume, and the English edition is set for August 3, 2027. A pre-order is a strange present to wrap, but a printed note saying it is on the way works.
My son is in exactly that spot.
If the fan is new and only watches the anime, start with volume 1 instead. Our Black Clover manga reading order shows where the anime stops and which volume picks up from there.
For the watcher: Season 2 has been airing weekly on Crunchyroll since October 3, 2026. A Blu-ray works for a fan who likes to rewatch the old arcs. The Blu-ray seasons follow the original run, so Season 3 here is part of the original 170 episodes.
I watched the original 170 episodes, so I know how much there is to rewatch.
Small Gifts and Stocking Stuffers
Licensed Black Clover clothing is hard to find on Amazon right now, so the small gifts here are things he will carry. The Buckle-Down wallet is officially licensed and gets daily use. The Ata-Boy button set has Asta, Yuno, Noelle and Yami, and goes on a backpack.
Where to Buy Official Black Clover Merch
Official merch is harder to spot than it should be. Two traps first. Black Clover USA is a golf apparel brand with no link to the anime. And one site that calls itself official sells products whose descriptions mention the Pirate King and Devil Fruits, which are from One Piece.
For licensed clothing, look at the Shonen Jump Store, which is VIZ’s own shop and runs limited Black Clover drops, and at Hot Topic and BoxLunch, which carry tees, plush and Funkos. For figures, Funko, Good Smile, Youtooz and Banpresto are the licensed names.
If a listing has no brand, no license line and a price that looks too good, it is probably a bootleg.
This Christmas, my son is getting a Black Clover merch item.
Anime Like Black Clover
If the gift is really “what do I watch next”, these six each share something specific with it.
- Mashle: Magic and Muscles. A kid with no magic in a world of wizards, which is Asta’s whole setup played for laughs.
- Fairy Tail. A loud magic guild and a lot of friendship speeches. Closest in tone.
- Naruto. An outcast who wants to be the top leader of his village, the same dream as Asta’s Wizard King.
- My Hero Academia. A powerless kid in a world of powers, plus a squad he grows up with.
- Wistoria: Wand and Sword. A magic academy and a hero who can only fight with a sword.
- Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Two brothers and a magic system with real rules. The most serious of the six.

About These Recommendations
I’m George, a dad of two. My wife did most of the reading to our kids when they were little, and I did my share. She’s a therapist, and she helps pick the books that actually matter for their development. Some of what’s on this site we’ve read, watched or played as a family. Some I tried on my own first. The rest comes from research: reviews, episode guides, other parents online, and whatever the kids bring home from school.
