Platform 9 3/4 with the iconic red train. The moving brick wall entrance is clever. Six minifigures including a Dementor. This was our first set and it’s still on display. A perfect starting point for any collection.
New 2024-2025 Modular System
LEGO redesigned Hogwarts from scratch in 2024. These sets connect together to build a new minifigure-scale castle. The Main Tower is the centerpiece.
Hogwarts Castle: The Main Tower 76454
The biggest 2025 release. 2,135 pieces across six floors. Dumbledore’s office, the Grand Staircase, and more. This is the heart of the new modular system. If you’re building the new Hogwarts, start here.
Hagrid’s Hut: An Unexpected Visit 76428
The 2024 Hagrid’s Hut with 896 pieces. Opens up to show the interior with oversized furniture and includes Fang. Much better detail than older versions, and it connects to the modular system.
Hogwarts Castle Boathouse 76426
Where first-years arrive, with 350 pieces including boats and Hagrid with his lantern. A small, quick build with good detail that serves as an entry point for the modular system.
Hogwarts Castle Owlery 76430
The Owlery with 364 pieces, featuring a rotating owl perch mechanism with multiple owls including Hedwig. The Cho Chang minifigure is exclusive to this set.
Hogwarts Castle: Potions Class 76431
Snape’s dungeon classroom with 397 pieces. Potion bottles, cauldrons, and the dark atmosphere done right as part of the modular system.

The purple triple-decker bus from Prisoner of Azkaban with 499 pieces. Includes the shrunken head and improves on the 2019 version with better detail at a mid-range price.
Hogwarts: Fluffy Encounter 76387
The three-headed dog guarding the trapdoor, from the 20th anniversary collection. Includes a golden Hermione minifigure. Small set, but the three-headed Fluffy is impressive for kids.

Diagon Alley Microscale 76439
New for 2025, the entire Diagon Alley in microscale with 2,750 pieces for $200. Same approach as the 2018 Hogwarts Castle. A display piece rather than a playset, with all the shops in miniature.
Talking Sorting Hat 76429
A buildable Sorting Hat that actually talks with real movie audio. Put it on your head and it sorts you. Works as both display piece and interactive toy with over 500 pieces. Requires batteries.

Hagrid’s Hut: Buckbeak’s Rescue 75947
The older Hagrid’s Hut from 2019 with Buckbeak the Hippogriff and six minifigures. If you find it cheaper than the 2024 version, it’s still a solid buy.

LEGO releases new Harry Potter sets every year, typically in January and June waves. Summer 2025 is expected to bring Herbology Class, Dumbledore’s Phoenix, and an Aunt Marge’s Visit set. 2026 sets haven’t been announced yet but expect more additions to the modular Hogwarts system.
Both. Sets marked 18+ (Hogwarts Castle, Diagon Alley, Talking Sorting Hat) are designed for adult collectors with complex builds and display-focused designs. Most other sets are designed for ages 7-12 but are enjoyable for adults too. The Hogwarts Moment book sets work well for ages 8+.
