Best Harry Potter LEGO Sets (2025)

Last Updated: January 8, 2026 by George, Engineer & Father

My son got his first Harry Potter LEGO set at six. We built the Hogwarts Express together over a weekend. He’s twelve now and still adds to his collection.

LEGO launched a completely new modular Hogwarts system in 2024. The old sets are being retired. If you’re starting fresh or adding to an existing collection, this guide covers what’s worth buying in 2025.

New 2024-2025 Modular System

LEGO redesigned Hogwarts from scratch in 2024. These sets connect together to build a new minifigure-scale castle. The Main Tower is the centerpiece.

Hogwarts Castle: The Main Tower 76454

The biggest 2025 release. 2,135 pieces across six floors. Dumbledore’s office, the Grand Staircase, and more. This is the heart of the new modular system. If you’re building the new Hogwarts, start here.

The crown jewel of the 2024-2025 system. Six detailed floors. Dumbledores office is worth the price alone. This is the set that ties everything together. Serious collectors need this.
Premium price at $260. You really need the other modular sets to get the full effect. This is an investment, not an impulse buy.

Hagrid’s Hut: An Unexpected Visit 76428

The 2024 Hagrid’s Hut with 896 pieces. Opens up to show the interior with oversized furniture and includes Fang. Much better detail than older versions, and it connects to the modular system.

Much better than older Hagrids Hut sets. More detail, better scale. The pumpkin patch outside is a nice touch. Connects to the 2024 modular system. Fang is adorable.
If you already own the 2019 Hagrids Hut (75947), this covers similar ground. The $75 price point is mid-range.

Where first-years arrive, with 350 pieces including boats and Hagrid with his lantern. A small, quick build with good detail that serves as an entry point for the modular system.

The rotating owl mechanism is clever. Multiple owls included. Connects seamlessly to other 2024 Hogwarts sets. Cho Chang minifigure is exclusive to this set.
Small set at 364 pieces. The owlery is not the most exciting location from the films. Better as part of the collection than standalone.

Similar concept to the older Hogwarts Moment: Potions Class (76383) but larger. If you have that one, decide if you need both.

LEGO Harry Potter Knight Bus Adventure 76446

LEGO Harry Potter Knight Bus Adventure 76446

The 2025 Knight Bus is the best version yet. Better detail than the 2019 version (75957). The shrunken head is a fun addition. Moderate piece count, reasonable price.
If you already own the 2019 Knight Bus, this is similar territory. The purple color can be hard to photograph. Not the most essential set unless you love this scene.

Hogwarts: Fluffy Encounter 76387

The three-headed dog guarding the trapdoor, from the 20th anniversary collection. Includes a golden Hermione minifigure. Small set, but the three-headed Fluffy is impressive for kids.

Diagon Alley 75978

The full-size Diagon Alley. 5,544 pieces. Ollivanders, Gringotts, Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes – all the shops. 14 minifigures. This is a statement piece. Expensive but worth it for collectors.

Diagon Alley Microscale 76439

New for 2025, the entire Diagon Alley in microscale with 2,750 pieces for $200. Same approach as the 2018 Hogwarts Castle. A display piece rather than a playset, with all the shops in miniature.

LEGO Harry Potter Diagon Alley 76439

Incredible detail at microscale. All the shops are there – Ollivanders, Gringotts, Weasleys Wizard Wheezes. Display piece that looks stunning. 2,750 pieces for the price is solid value.
Microscale means no minifigures to play with – just tiny microfigs. This is for display, not play. If you want the full-size Diagon Alley experience, look at 75978 instead.

Talking Sorting Hat 76429

A buildable Sorting Hat that actually talks with real movie audio. Put it on your head and it sorts you. Works as both display piece and interactive toy with over 500 pieces. Requires batteries.

The Clock Tower with the Yule Ball scene and eight minifigures including Fleur, Viktor Krum, and Cedric. Multiple rooms to explore.

4 Privet Drive 75968

The Dursley house with the flying Ford Anglia, Harry’s cupboard under the stairs, and a Dobby minifigure. A different setting from the usual Hogwarts builds.
